INNOVATION
We work with the same advanced materials found in fine watchmaking, each selected for its unique performance and character: high-tech ceramics, 316L and 904L stainless steel, titanium, carbon fiber, and bronze.
ADVANCED CERAMICS
The signature material of VELM. Harder than steel, advanced ceramics are virtually scratch-proof and exceptionally resistant to wear. Each piece undergoes a multi-stage process. The result is a material with unmistakable durability and rich surface depth that captures and reflects light from every angle.

TITANIUM
We use aerospace titanium grade 5, prized for its strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and exceptional biocompatibility. Its lightness and resilience allow for fine detailing and advanced surface treatments, achieving a tactile, technical elegance.

CARBON FIBER
Lightweight, strong, and distinctly modern, our carbon fiber is formed from tightly woven or forged carbon strands. Five times lighter than steel yet remarkably strong, it delivers a dynamic technical aesthetic with unique pattern variations that make each piece truly individual.

316L STAINLESS STEEL
A low-carbon alloy known for its exceptional resistance to corrosion and harsh environments, 316L stainless steel is non-magnetic, biocompatible, and renowned for its ability to maintain polish and finish over time. Its balance of durability and refined surface quality makes it an essential material in high-end watchmaking, and at VELM.

BRONZE
Bronze combines timeless warmth with evolving character. Naturally forming a protective patina, each piece develops a unique tone and depth over time. Durable and richly colored, bronze adds a sense of vintage luxury that matures beautifully with wear.

SUPER-LUMINOVA
The benchmark luminous pigment used in Swiss watchmaking. Super-LumiNova® stores light energy and emits a long-lasting glow, powering the distinct analog illumination found in select VELM creations, a subtle nod to our horological roots.

FINEST LEATHERS
VELM uses full-grain Italian leather sourced from heritage tanneries known for precision and consistency. Vegetable-tanned by traditional methods, it retains its natural strength, texture, and breathability. Over time, it develops a rich patina, a hallmark of quality construction and longevity.
